PAULINE CHRISSTOLOGY

October 31, 2009 · Posted in Pilates Certification · Comment

This question has passed through two distinct phases. According to the principal followers of the Tübingen School, Paul had but a vague knowledge of the life and teaching of the historical Christ and even Paul in his early days disdained such knowledge (teachings of Christ) as inferior and useless.

The second phase of the question is closely connected with the first. The same theologians, who maintain that Paul was indifferent to the earthly life and teaching of Christ, deliberately exaggerate his originality and influence. According to them Paul was the creator of theology, the founder of the Christianity and constructed the first Church, the preacher of asceticism, the defender of the sacraments and of the ecclesiastical system, the opponent of the true religion of Christ Jesus.

Paul, who was a younger contemporary of Jesus, originally known as Saul, was born in Tarsus, a city Cilicia (Turkey), a few year into Christian era. Although a Roman citizen, he was of Jewish birth, and in his youth he learned Hebrew and received a through Jewish education. As a young man, he went to Jerusalem to study under Rabbi Gamaliel, an eminent Jewish teacher, though Paul was in Jerusalem at the same time as Jesus, Paul never met Jesus and Jesus never uttered a word about Paul.

After Christ left the earth, the followers were regarded as heretics and suffered persecution. For a long time, Paul himself severely participated in this persecution and destroyed many followers of Christ. In order to eradicate the entire followers of Christ, Paul made a master plan. And it worked out. After three long missionary trips within the eastern part of the Empire, Paul returned to Jerusalem. He was arrested there, and was eventually sent to Rome to stand trial. According to his confessional statement,

Romans :- 3 : 7,   “but if through my lie,  god’s story abounds, why am I still being condemned as a sinner?’ Paul was found guilty, however (most likely about 64 A.D.), (by God’s Grace) he was executed near Rome.

Christian theology, however, was shaped principally by the work of Paul. Christ Jesus (pbuh) presented a spiritual message; but Paul added to that the worship of Christ. Furthermore Paul was the author of a considerable portion of the New Testament, and was the main proselytizing force for Christianity during the first century. For these reasons, some people even content that it is Paul, rather than Jesus, who should really be considered the founder of Christianity. Carried to its logical conclusion, that argument would lead one to place Paul higher on this list than Jesus! However, although it is not clear whether there would be a religion called Christianity without the influence of Paul.

Gospel Of Paul:- Pauline Christology, a man made doctrine?

Romans  1 : 21-27, “Who changed the truth? for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature (son of man) more than the Creator.”

Romans :- 3 : 7   (Paul’s confessional statement)

“but if through my lie,  god’s story (Christianity) abounds,

‘why am I still being condemned as a sinner?’

(Paul was Condemned By Jews)

THE GREATEST LIE OF PAUL.

“And falling to the ground Paul heard a voice saying to him,

Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?

And Paul said, ‘who are you, Lord?’

And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting”

This perishable lie contradicts Ref :-  Acts :- 9 : 7  VS  Acts :- 22 : 9.

“the men who were traveling  with me (Paul/Saul) stood speechless,

hearing the voice but seeing no one.”

“Now those who were (traveling) with me (Paul/Saul) saw the light

but did not hear”

Controversial : seeing no one vs saw the light, and

hearing the voice vs did not hear.

Paul in his confessional statement in Romans 3 : 7 states that, “He is a liar,” and lying within the lie. Ref :-  Acts:- 9 : 7 contra Act :- 22 : 9  hence contradiction arises.

PAULINE CHRISTOLOGY:      COMMANMENTS OF PAUL.

Hebrews: 7 : 18 and 19,

According to Paul:- Law given to Moses and Ten Commandments of God and entire old Testaments are all useless and only his Gospel (New Testament: with novel Idea of Trinity and Christ Crucified, the conjecture for salvation)

FRIST COMMANMENT:  Says God is One and only

Sama Israeyeelu yehuwa ilohinu yehuwa ehad.

“Hear O Israel, the Lord your God, the Lord is One and Only.”

Here Paul destroys the Commanments and the Law and the Prophets. Paul says, God is not One but one in three a new idea.

DAY OF JUDGEMENT: ETERNAL LIFE: SALVATION:

Romans:- 2 : 16, Paul says: according to my Gospel.

“In the day (of Judgement) God will Judge the secrets of men according to my Gospel.”

Acts 13 : 39, Paul says:

“And by him (Jesus) that believes are justified from all things, from which you could not be justified (on the Day of Judgement) by the Law of Moses.”

Contradicts with the Teachings of Christ Jesus (pbuh).

“I am not come to destroy the Law and the Prophets but to fulfill.”

MOSES:  John 5 : 46-47,

“For had you believed Moses, you would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if you believe not his writings, how shall you believe my (Jesus) words?”

“I can of my own self do nothing, as I hear I judge and my judgement is just.”

CHRISTIANITY MADE IN GREECE JUST LIKE A PRODUCT.

ORIGINALLY GREEKS WERE IDOL WORSHIPERS LIKE PAGAN CHINEESE, JAPANEE AND OTHERS. TILL TODAY PAGANISM CONTINUES IN TWO DIFFERENT TYPES IN GREECE.

GRREK GODS.

The Greeks believed that men need not concern themselves unduly about gods who were too busy having a good time to bother about men. ZEUS was considered to be the master of all gods. LIKE FATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST BUT GREEKS MADE THE SON TO DOMINATE AS THE MASTER OF ALL.

Now you will note how the name Jesus (SOUNDS LIKE ZEUS] came into existence. What was the real name and the real title to him.

ESUA, YESHUA, YESU, ESAU ESA YESA THESE ARE THE PRONUNCIATION OF HIS NAME LATER MANIPULATED AS MENTIONED EARLIER.

TITLE : MESSAIYA, MASSEEQ TRANSLATED AS CHRIST IN GREEK.

BUT THE GREEKS PLANNED TO PAINT IT WITH J. AND STARTED TO COLLECT A NEWLY GREEK PAINTED BIBLE SO AS TO READ THROUGH GREEK GLASSES.

THESE IDOL WORSHIPERS IN THEIR NEW RELIGION CALLED CHRISTIANITY CONTINUED THE SAME IDOL WORSHIP WITH DIFFERENT IDOLS INSTEAD OF THE IDOL OF ZEUS THEY CARVED AN IDOL OF JESUS. SO INSTEAD OF ZEUS, NAME JESUS IS PLAYING THE ROLL BUT JESUS IS NOT REALLY PLAYING THE ROLL. THESE PAGANS PRODUCED THE CHARACTER JESUS TO PLAY THEIR DRAMA. THERE BY PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE BEING FOOLED. FOR THE PAST 18OO YEARS SINCE 7O AC TO 18OO AC  THESE RC ROMAN CATHOLISM WAS PLAYING THE DRAMA. AFTER 18OO THESE CSI AND LATER 1000 OF CHRISTIAN SECTS STARTED THEIR OWN PLAY AND DOING SO.

MY QUESTION TO CSI AND OTHERS IS WHO WAS MISLEADIND THE RC FOR THE PAST 2000 YEARS. YOU PEOPLE CAME OUT OF RC VERY RECENTLY. ALL OF THE SUDDEN.

LET US ANALYSE J:

ESU         ZEUS                      JESUS

YESUA                                   JOSHUA

YEHOVA                                JEHOVAH

YAKHOOB                              JACOB

YUSUF                                   JOSEPH

YOHANNA                              JOHANNA   JOHN

THE SO CALLED PAUL COOKED A RELIGION AND THE GREEKS RE-COOKED IT TO THEIR TASTE.

CRUCIFIED: STORY MADE BY JEWS HIGHLIGHTED BY PAUL.

RESURRECTED: IMAGINATION OF PAUL

1 Corinthians 1 : 23 & 25,

Paul says: “We only preached that, ‘Christ Jesus was crucified, this foolishness (Crucifixion) of God is wiser than man and this weakness (Crucifixion) of God is stronger than man.”

IF NOT RESURECTED:

1 Corinthians 15: 12 & 14,

Paul says:  “And if Christ is not Resurrected [or if not crucified) then our preaching is vain and your faith is also vain.”

II Timothy 2 : 8,

Paul says:  “Remember that Jesus was raised (Resurrected) from the dead, only according to my Gospel.”

SON OF GOD:

Acts 9 : 20,

“And straight away Paul preached, Christ in the synagogues, that Jesus is the son of God.”

CIRCUMCISION: Paul abolished not Christ?

Galatians 5 : 2,

“Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if you be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.”

Contradicts with Luke: 2 : 21,

“And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child Jesus.” Jesus was circumcised, Yowaan John was circumcised and even Paul was circumcised but Paul abolishes circumcision? Who is Paul to alter the covenant?. What will be the result?  Hell fire.

REMARIAGE:

I Corinthians 7 : 8-9,

“I (Paul) say therefore to the unmarried and the widows, it is good for them if they can abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry than to burn.”

Mathew :- 5 : 19

“This people (Christians) honoreth me with their lips but their heart is far from me. But in vain they (Christians) do worship me, teaching the commandments of men (Paul).

120million Paulians are living on the Earth they are not Christians they are Paulians.

Matthew:-  5 : 31 and 32 and 19 : 9

“It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife (for marital unfaithfulness) must give her a certificate of divorce.’ But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, other then marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries that woman commits adultery”.

As the DIVORCE is not yet solemnized.

Bible :- The word bible is not found in the bible, this word is derived from a Greek word bib’lo meaning books or collection of information collected by different historians at different intervals and also the word Trinity is not found in the bible.

1.Jews were following the religion of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him).

John 5 : 46-47, “For had you believed Moses, you would have believed me. But if you believed not his writings, how shall you believe my words?”

2.Some of the Jews believed Christ Jesus and followed him and were sincere disciples and follwers. And there were no other people other then Jews were his disciples.

3.Paul originally Saul decided to destroy the disciples of Christ Jesus and made a master plan as if a follower of Christ Jesus and found the new religion called Christianity and with that strength Paul destroyed the real followers of Christ Jesus. Paul did not take a single Jew to his new religion, he only targeted Greeks and Samaritans etc, etc,.

Introduction to The Gospel of Luke:a commentary & meditation

Luke, the “beloved physician”

Paul 100. A.D. calls Luke the “beloved physician” (Col. 4:14).  Luke was a companion and fellow worker of Paul (2 Tim. 4:11; Philemon 24).  They traveled extensively. Luke was a keen observer of the human condition. His gospel is the easiest to read and understand, because it presupposes that his audience is not familiar with Jewish customs and practices.   “It seemed good to me also to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theo-philus” (Luke 1:3)

The Gospel for the Gentiles ( Non-Jewish)

Luke was a Gentile New Testament writer who was not a Jew. He addressed his gospel to a fellow Gentile.  Luke intended his gospel for the Gentile Christians. Paul addressed to the Gentiles and likely encouraged Luke to write such an account.  Luke wanted to give an account of the gospel to a non-Jewish audience who were not accustomed to Jewish beliefs and practices (Circumcision, prayer, fasting and so on) and who lived in a society dominated by Greek culture (idol worship) and language. Luke wrote his gospel in the common Greek of the day. It was likely written between the years approximately 63-70 A.D.( not sure)

“That you may know the truth concerning the things of which you have been informed” (Luke 1:4)

Luke is an evangelist like Matthew and Mark.  He writes that Gentiles may know the truth of the things in which he has been instructed (by Paul) (Luke 1:4). Luke also writes as an historian.  He has investigated the matter closely and he intends to give an orderly account of what might have (not sure) happened.  He is the only gospel writer to give an account of the ascension.  He also uses the Greek word (Theo) title for Lord.  The above extract is from   Wikipedia.

Paul targeted the Gentiles, Greeks and Samaritans for his newly found religion called Christianity, Greeks were idol worshipers, worshiping sun as god in the form of an idol; still it is there in Rome, in order to convince the idol worshipers, Paul planned and made idols for Christ Jesus, his mother and for other disciples thus formed a religion with idolatry, while Christ Jesus was against idol worshiping as per the laws and commandments mentioned. So Paul is an opponent of Christ Jesus’ faith about God, that are set out in John 17: 03, idol worshiper Paul is against Christ’ teachings, other Idol worshipers of various religions can easily be converted to Christianity by giving another idol of Christ Jesus and the dogma that he died for your sin, this is what practiced by RC since Paul. I am plainly giving the facts without any hatred, only the reader has to be in the center point of his mind and analyze, if any one could not understand, may contact me for clarification. For 1800 years only RC were Christians even today they are the majority rest are below percentage.

CONCLUSION.

Muslims believe in Christ Jesus rightly and following him accordingly hence the Muslims are the best Christians (followers of Christ) and the so called Christians are Paulians.

CRUCIFIXION   /   CRUCI-FICTION  :-

Who preached that Christ Jesus was crucified?

Answer: Paul, “1 Corinthians 1 : 23 & 25” “We preached that, ‘Christ Jesus was crucified,  this foolishness of God is wiser than man and this weakness of God is stronger than man.”

II Timothy 2 : 8, “Remember that Jesus was raised (Resurrected) from the dead according to my (Pual) gospel.”

1 Corinthians 15: 12 & 14, “And if Christ is not Resurrected [or if not crucified)

then our preaching is vain and your faith is also vain.”

“Now if Christ be preached (by us) that he rose (Resurrected) from the dead, how say some among the Jews that there is no Resurrection of the dead?”

1 Corinthians 15:42,43 and 44. Hebrew 09:27 Resurrection on the day of Judgement only.

“And as it is written for men to die once, but after this the Judgement.”

Mark :- 14: 34, 35 & 36, “And said unto them, my soul is exceedingly sorrowful unto DEATH: tarry ye here and watchful. And Christ went little ahead of them, and fell on his face to the ground, and prayed that if it is His Will, let the hour pass away leaving him in peace. And Christ Jesus said, “Abba, Father, “all things are possible for You. Remove this DEATH from me, yet not that I will but what You Will.”

Mathew :- 26: 36, 37,  38 & 39, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful to DEATH.”

And going a little farther Christ Jesus fell on his face and prayed, saying, “O my Father, if it is possible, let this DEATH pass from me, nevertheless , not as I will, but as You Will.”

Luke :- 22:41,42&43., “And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw and knelt down and prayed saying, “Father, if  You are Willing, remove this DEATH from me. Nevertheless not my will, but Yours be done. And there appeared to him an angel from heaven consoled him and strengthened him. And being in agony he prayed more earnestly and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling to the ground.

Hebrews:- 5 : 7, “Who (Christ Jesus) in the days of his flesh; offered up prayers and supplications with vehement cries and tears to Him, Who was able to save him from DEATH and *he was heard* because of his godly fear.”

Cup : “Taste of death.”       *he was heard* means prayer was accepted

“I will not fail thee nor forsake thee.”

Christ Jesus said, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful to DEATH” ? !!!!!!!

Who (Christ Jesus) in the days of his flesh, withdrew from them about a stone’s throw and knelt down, fell on his face, being in agony earnestly offered up prayers and supplications with vehement cries and tears, to God, Who was able to save him from DEATH, his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground, saying, “O my God, everything is possible for You, if You are Willing, remove this DEATH  away from me. And there appeared to him an angel from heaven consoled him and further strengthened him on what he feared saying, “your prayer and supplications are heard (accepted) because of your godly fear”.

John: 3 : 14, “And as Moses lifted up the serpent (Alive) in the wilderness, even so must the son of man (Christ) be lifted up:”.

Muslims believe in Christ Jesus rightly and following him accordingly hence the Muslims are the best Christians, Christ Jesus worshiped God and Muslims are worshiping God only, Christ Jesus was circumcised on the 8th day and Muslims are circumcised and the so called Christians are Paulians and not real Christians.

Date of the Crucifixion / Cruci-fiction. Conjecture Full of Doubts.

It is assumed (only assumption/conjecture) that the Crucifixion took place under Pontius Pilate, and hence Our Savior must have died between A. D. 26 and 36        (not sure)(Ant., XVIII, iv, 2). It is not clearly laid down in the Gospels that the Crucifixion took place on a Friday. For we are told that the Resurrection took place on Sunday, and also that it occurred three days after the Crucifixion, but according to the Greek and Jewish mode of reckoning, the third day is what we should call the second day. A difficulty is, however, raised as to whether Our Savior died on the 14th or 15th of Nisan. Some are of opinion that, whilst St. John held the Crucifixion to have been on the 14th (xix, 31), the Synoptists were in favour of the 15th (Mark 15:42. But it does not seem possible that either St. John or St. Matthew, who were so intimately connected with the facts related, should have been mistaken in this matter, or that, in the same way, either the Synoptists or the Fourth Gospel erred. Nor are we without explanations to reconcile the apparent differences between the Gospels. St. John, we know, favors the 14th of Nisan. But St. Mark, too, tells us how Simon of Cyrene helped Christ to carry the Cross (xv, 21), and how Joseph of Arimathea buried the Body — facts which seem to tell against the Festival Day (xv, 43 sqq.). Besides, the weight of Christian antiquity is in favour of the 14th of Nisan, as are such competent modern scholars as Professor Sunday and the late Bishop Westcott.

If we could make up our mind fully that the Crucifixion took place on the 14th of Nisan, it would help us to determine in what year it happened. For though we cannot always be certain whether a Friday fell on the 14th or 15th of Nisan, still we can be fairly satisfied that the years 29, 30, and 33 fulfilled the necessary conditions, though von Soden, in Cheyne’s “Encyclopedia”, is of opinion that the year 29 does not do so. It has already been seen that the Crucifixion must have happened somewhere between 26 and 36. It may also be taken that it did not occur after 33, because in the next year caiphas was deposed from the high-priesthood by Vitellius. We are left, then, with the years 29, 30, and 33 to choose between for the death of Jesus Christ. We cannot be certain in our choice. But naturally we should expect the date of such an important event to be handed down by tradition; and we find a very ancient tradition, going back to A. D. 150, for the date A. D. 29, in the consulship of the Gemini. In favour of it are Clement of Alexandria, Origen, the Apocryphal Acts of Pilate, Hippolytus, and the Pseudo-Tertullian.

Mother’s Day; 10 Gift Picks

October 31, 2009 · Posted in Pilates Certification · Comment

Celebrated on the second Sunday in May, Mother’s Day was originally intended as a call to unite women against war. This occurred in 1870 by Julia Ward Howe. This inspired Ann Jarvis to improve sanitation throughout the Civil War through what was called Mother’s Work Days. After she died, her daughter Anna Jarvis started the crusade to found a memorial day for women. The first such Mother’s Day was celebrated in Grafton, West Virginia, on May 10, 1908, in the church where the elder Ann Jarvis had taught Sunday School. In 1914 President Woodrow Wilson declared the first national Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day continues to this day to be one of the most commercially successful U.S. occasions.

Five Things To Look For From Your Personal Trainer

October 30, 2009 · Posted in Pilates Certification · Comment

Finding and choosing the appropriate in home personal trainer to meet your fitness needs can be a harrowing and exhausting experience. Most of the time people will use their friend’s trainer as a recommendation only to be disappointed that they do not reach the same goals as their friend because that trainer was not appropriate for them or their fitness needs. Throughout this article, Team Fitness America recommends five key points to take note of when choosing a fitness professional.

1. Certification – Sometimes the most stressful part of finding the right in home personal trainer is figuring out what your trainer knows and how they came to learn it. With all of the certification acronyms available such as ACE, AFAA, NPTI, AAA-ISMA, and even college level degrees, it is easy find ourselves asking, “What does it all mean?” Most certifications are textbook classes and exams that trainers must pass each year to keep their certificate current. The above are the most popular and also include NASM, WITS, NFPI and ACSM. Other online “quick-buy” certifications are not normally acceptable through most companies.

When choosing a personal trainer through an organization, whether it is gym based or home based, you know that your personal trainer’s certification(s) are checked out and certain guidelines are followed to maximize your program results. Places like 24 Hour Fitness, LA Fitness, and even Team Fitness America all have personal trainers that sat for at least one certification exam. In addition, your personal trainer may pick up specialties like kickboxing, aquatic aerobics, group fitness, Spinning (cycling), Yoga or Pilates. Each additional certification will give your personal trainer more credibility and versatility when designing a fitness program that meets your needs.

2. Affordability – Most personal trainers that are not related to a gym or home based fitness company will gladly take you on as a client but they usually will ask you to pay anywhere from $85 to $150 per session. These personal trainers have taken the same courses and passed the same exams as organizational related personal trainers that charge a fraction of the cost.

The common mistake that somebody might make is that if the personal trainer charges more, then he or she is more knowledgeable and experienced than a more affordable personal trainer. If you are unsure of their experience, then ask to see a resume and what school they studied at to obtain their certification. If you are looking to work with a home based fitness company, then look for an organization that requires certain standards from their fitness staff. Going through an organization like this will give you the opportunity to have a qualified in home personal trainer at an extremely affordable price.

3. Background Check – Hiring an independent personal trainer or fitness specialist because your friend recommended it does not mean they are safe or lack a criminal history. Even though you want to get in shape fast, you still want to protect who you are letting in your home or even around your family. If you are seeking an in home personal trainer, then structural based organizations like Team Fitness America as well as many others make sure that their personal trainers have a clean criminal background, checked references, and certifications have been verified. If you just found someone’s business card then how can you be so sure that person is really certificated and has a clean background? You can avoid all of this hassle and concern by using a company that offers prescreened, certified personal trainers.

4. Convenience – Nothing is more frustrating then choosing the right personal trainer and finding out the only slot they have open is during times that you are not available. You need consistent workouts and the only real way that you are going to stay consistent is by procuring a personal trainer during times that are convenient to you. You need a personal trainer that meets your schedule, your days, and your times. Otherwise, you will find yourself wanting to make excuses of why you cannot find time to work out. Make sure that when you choose a personal trainer that you know in advance that they will be able to accommodate your schedule.

5. Compatibility – Your friend at work had good intentions by referring his or her personal trainer to you, but maybe their personality does not live up to the type of person that you can build a bond with. It is important to have the right personal trainer because you are going to build a bond with that person and there has to be a high trust factor to feel that their advice is the best advice. If you are looking to get in shape but you need to start slow and gradually progress in your workout, then hiring a boot camp instructor will only make you want to quit your program from the consistent feeling of always being too sore before your next workout. On the flip side, if you have only allotted yourself a short time period to reach your goals (maybe a wedding, party, or vacation), then you need a personal trainer that will push you beyond your current fitness threshold. Compatibility is more than just personality, it is thinking of your fitness goals with a long-term mind set.

Make an educated decision, but do not get yourself stuck by spending weeks sifting through fitness trainer resumes, meeting them, even asking to background check them all on your own. Go with a health club or in home personal training organization that has worked hard to do all of these things for you. The key factor is to make sure that once you are ready to make that commitment to a healthy lifestyle change that you stay dedicated with it and stick to a good nutritional program while your personal trainer is not with you.

Is a Gym Franchise Opportunity for You?

October 29, 2009 · Posted in Pilates Certification · Comment

Once you’ve done the research and decided that buying a franchise is the right business opportunity for you, the next step is choosing a franchise. But with so many franchises available in so many different industries, how do you narrow down the selection? First, think about your personal interests. No one wants to run a business he finds uninteresting. For example, if you hate math and crunching numbers, an accounting franchise probably isn’t your best bet. Instead search for businesses that you think would be fun to manage.
One such type of business is a gym. The American fitness craze is definitely here to stay. With $14.8 billion in revenue reported in 2004 and 41.3 million registered health club members as of January 2005, this industry offers franchisees the opportunity to get a slice of a very big pie. If you, like so many other Americans, are a happy passenger on the fitness bandwagon, a gym franchise might be the ideal business venture for you.

If you do decide on a gym franchise, of course you’ll want to choose one that has a good reputation for financial performance and franchisee satisfaction. A great tool to help you identify these franchises is Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500.
Entrepreneur uses the same objective and quantifiable criteria to judge all companies (regardless of size) and formulate a ranked list of the best franchise opportunities. Some of the factors considered include: financial performance, growth rate and the size of the company, the number of years a company has been in business and the number of years it has been franchising, start-up costs, litigation, percentage of terminations and whether or not a franchisor provides in-house financing.
The Franchise 500 list for 2007 included business opportunities such as Gold’s Gym and The Little Gym.
Gold’s Gym is the number one fitness club in the world as well as an immediately recognized brand in the fitness industry. Franchisees in this system pride themselves on offering all the latest equipment and services at their gyms. Newcomers to this franchise are provided with a comprehensive training and support system that includes programs such as the Gold’s Gym University workshop. This five-day, 28 class training program is designed to integrate new business owners into the Gold’s Gym franchise and help them maximize the potential of their units.
The Little Gym leads the industry in children’s motor skill development, making the process a fun and engaging one that builds confidence in children. This system is proud of its hands-on approach when it comes to setting up new franchises. Each new franchisee is assigned his own personal business consultant who remains available for support throughout the franchisee’s tenure with the company. The franchise stays involved with its business owners because they care not only about the success of their gyms, but also about the health and wellness of children in their communities.
Other fitness franchise opportunities
If your interest in fitness is more specialized, you might consider a franchise like IM=X (pronounced IMX) Pilates Studio. This is a turnkey business that combines the muscle-toning of Pilates with cardiovascular training. IM=X stands for Integrated Movement Xercize program that adds resistance training and plyometric jumps to Pilates movements to create a more athletic workout. IM=X has been described as the next evolution of Pilates because the program is adaptable and can be made appropriate for all fitness levels. Franchisees in this system receive support in marketing, business, equipment and are even provided with yearly, on-site certification for staff members in a variety of fitness programs such as yoga and pre/postnatal workouts.
Perhaps you have an interest in women’s fitness. If so, you might look at a franchise opportunity like Butterfly Life, which is a unique “one-stop-shop” for women’s health. It is the only fitness franchise that currently offers free classes anytime. Classes such as Pilates, yoga, kick & jam, salsa, step, total body and Latin groove are taught by experts using Life Vision. Butterfly Life offers a Weight Loss Express program that combines circuit training workouts with nutrition classes to produce positive results in 30 days without calorie counting or special diet food.
LA Boxing Franchise Corporation was developed with the help of world-class boxing and kickboxing champions. The physical training offered to customers at these locations is combined with nutritional counseling to help them meet their fitness goals.

Continuing Ed: The Alexander Technique

October 28, 2009 · Posted in Pilates Certification · Comment

The Alexander Technique is a method for reeducating the mind and body to eliminate unnecessary tension. It focuses on changing unhealthy movement habits in everyday life, creating a more relaxed, enjoyable and energetic experience. The Alexander Technique is popular with musicians and performers. F.M. Alexander (1869-1955), the creator of the technique, was an Australian Shakespearian actor who suffered from chronic hoarseness. Through intense self-observation and experimentation, he conquered his hoarseness and developed what he called the primary control. According to the American Society for the Alexander Technique, “He named this relationship the primary control because he perceived it as primary in controlling posture, breath and movement.” People with chronic pain, back problems, arthritis, asthma, repetitive strain and carpal tunnel syndrome have found particular success with the Alexander Technique. The medical community has widely endorsed the method, as well as respected scientists such as Dutch ethologist Nikolaus Tinbergen, who noted Alexander’s discoveries in his 1973 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine acceptance speech. Clinical studieshave even proven some of the Alexander Technique’s benefits. Suffice it to say, this is a form of body education that is well established and respected and will be around for a long time.THE PILATES PERSPECTIVE ON THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE Heather Snyder, a nationally certified Alexander Technique teacher and Pilates instructor and founder of  The Graceful Body, a studio in New York, agreed to answer a few questions about the Alexander Technique and how it affects her as a Pilates instructor. She is a graduate of the Manhattan Center for the Alexander Technique, and she received her Pilates certification from Romana Kryzanowska.Q. How were you introduced to the Alexander Technique? A. I was introduced to the Alexander Technique after a knee injury. I tried a few different things to help… physical therapy, Feldenkrais, as well as just trying to help it with Pilates exercises. After my very first Alexander Technique lesson I understood that my knee injury was a direct result of how I was misusing my body in everyday activities. I learned that the way I was standing, walking and sitting were all slightly out of alignment and so I was overusing muscles that I shouldn’t have been and under-using muscles that I really needed to use to support my knee.Q. It’s a pretty involved certification process – what made you want to become a teacher? A. I decided to train to become a teacher simply because I was blown away by how much the technique helped me and how comprehensive and thorough of a system it was in terms of how it addresses the whole of the self. The benefits reach beyond the physical, into a psycho-physical education for the body. I had to change my way of directing my movements and thinking about my body in order to really learn the technique and shift my movement patterns to healthier ones. The training is 1,600 hours over three years, and it was the most intensely transformational three years of my life.Q. What makes the Alexander Technique unique, compared to other forms of body reeducation/bodywork, like Feldenkrais, Klein Technique, etc? A. The Alexander Technique involves consciously choosing and directing movements through awareness and understanding. It is about changing habits in all forms, physical and emotional. Many other techniques address the body first and then hopefully it integrates to the mind into understanding. With the AT, it starts with the mind, with awareness and understanding, and then directs the body into movement. Conscious choosing is the biggest difference.Q. How has it affected your teaching as a Pilates instructor? A. My Alexander Technique training has had a huge impact on my Pilates teaching. I look at my clients as an Alexander Technique teacher as well as a Pilates teacher so I am focused on the head, neck and spine relationship, which is a primary focus for Alexander Technique. I look at my clients in a holistic way and not just at certain muscles groups. I focus on the muscles working together to create the whole and address the overall functioning of the alignment. In my teaching, I focus on the most efficient way to do an exercise, with the least amount of tension and the most amount of ease. Then the muscles will work at their best potential. Before I studied the AT, I used to focus on just getting a client to do the exercise instead of on the quality and efficiency of how the exercise was performed. I find that to be a big problem in the Pilates world. There tends to be too much focus on getting someone to do an exercise and giving them a good workout instead of focusing on the quality of the exercise, making sure there is not unnecessary tension in their movement. For example, I see so many people doing the Hundred with over-tensed necks. This should be an abdominal exercise and the neck should be supporting itself without extra tension. I focus on the client releasing tension in the neck (sometimes by holding their heads in my hands until their abdominals activate). If the abs are weak, the neck will take over, and that defeats the whole purpose of the exercise. So, I focus on the quality of the Hundred, even if their Hundred turns out to be their “twenty” at first.Q. Any standout success stories? A. My favorite success story is about Doug. He first came to me about six years ago with very bad lower back pain. After working for two years, his pain was mostly gone and he was an intermediate Pilates client. By that point, I was well into my AT training and asked him if he would be interested in doing 10 minutes of AT work at the end of his Pilates session. He was happy to. I wanted to work on getting more length through his upper spine and getting him to move his head forward and up away from the spine (to reduce compression in his cervical vertebrae) and therefore reduce compression in his lower back. We started doing this work every week and the results were incredible. He understood that the way he was walking, sitting at his desk, just standing was causing compression in his spine and causing his lower back pain. He started focusing on it while he was at home, at work, etc., and was able to make great changes. The additional focus of the relationship of is head, neck and spine in his everyday life had a huge positive impact. After only a few short sessions of AT, he told me that he felt like we’d had a breakthrough with his back. It was very exciting for both of us. We continued doing 10 minutes of AT after his sessions for the next two years. He was able to work towards advanced Pilates exercises and said he felt the best he had in years. I have seen great improvements in all my Pilates clients since I’ve started using the Alexander Technique principles in my teaching. They have gained greater understanding of their own bodies’ abilities, and therefore, a deeper understanding of what the Pilates exercises can do for them.Q. Why should the Pilates community be interested in the Alexander Technique? A. I believe the Pilates community could greatly benefit from AT. Because the Alexander Technique addresses the way in which all physical movement is performed, it is vitally important when it comes to exercise. If someone is doing Pilates without an awareness of the overall functioning of their body, they can reinforce their harmful habits and, unfortunately, this never allows them to achieve the changes they were hoping for when they started their Pilates program. I think the technique is important for Pilates teachers and students to know about since it addresses fundamental ways in which our bodies should be and could be used for maximum efficiency. AT gives a greater understanding and perspective of how to change harmful patterns. As with my client Doug, this will allow for more freedom and efficiency and empowerment when doing Pilates exercises. In addition, there are just a few things that I think are of great importance to get across to your readers: • The Alexander Technique is an educational method, not a therapy or set of exercises. • It addresses the overall functioning of movement and teaches a person to become aware of their harmful movement patterns and gives them the tools and ability to change them. • There is a large focus on the relationship between the head, neck and spine. ___________________________________________________GETTING CERTIFIED IN THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUELocations: WorldwideStructure: American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) trainees attend a teacher-training course for at least three years. Pilates: A New Way to Look at Exercise

October 27, 2009 · Posted in Pilates Certification · Comment

In several major U.S. cities and Europe, Pilates (pul-Lah-tee), it seems, a new form of exercise, has gained great popularity among professional dancers, Broadway stars and movie celebrities. Even many current hard-core exercise enthusiasts are putting off their Nikes and steps in search of something new. Although still relatively new in the world of fitness, the method – the name of its founder Joseph Pilates – has existed for over 70 years.

History of Pilates Joseph H. Pilates was born in Germany in 1880. It started life as a small and fragile child who fed his fascination with exercises that would make him healthier, stronger and more physically attractive. Obsessed with achieving the perfect body, he became an accomplished skier, boxer and gymnast. During World War Pilates was interned as a nurse and during this time that he designed exercise apparatus for rehabilitation of victims of the war wounded. In 1926, Pilates and his wife opened their first studio in New York City, where many of his first clients came from the world of dance. Later, the eminent dance master George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins and Martha Graham became devoted to his method.

What is Pilates? Based on proper breathing, good posture and intense concentration, the exercises are performed on a mat or with specially designed equipment. Focusing on the breath and depth of support in the abdomen, the client developing a new form of foot and the most elegant way of moving. Roman Kryzanowska long time and now a student teacher trainer, describes “the movement flowing outward from a strong center.” By learning the correct posture and proper body alignment, the customer feels and looks taller and agile soon. The muscles are stretched and strengthened uniformly along, instead of the smooth muscle bulk. Of course this is contrary to the methods of today, most fitness professionals believe that the only way to “tone” muscle is to increase the diameter of the muscle. However, many students of Pilates swear by this method and have even admitted to feeling high, agile and “better” after only a few sessions. Many insist that even when the previous forms of exercise have failed, this program has been successful in helping clients achieve the body you’ve always wanted. “Pilates helps to restructure and reorganize the body that gives the impression of weight loss,” said Melissa Pope, Pilates instructor in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Team There are 5 teams or equipment used for the method of Pilates, the reformer, the Pedipull, the Cadillac, Barrel and The President. Repetitions in the team are low, while the intensity and the concentration is high. The abdomen and the buttocks, while squeezing the legs and arms stretched to the maximum. Each piece of equipment is suitable for a wide variety of exercises for almost every body part.

Is it or not? Celebrities like Madonna, Vanessa Williams and Sharon Stone rave about the benefits of Pilates. Does this mean it works or that the trend will last? Nobody can say for sure. However, the Pilates method seems to be more popular with women who are tired of hot, sweaty work that seem to bear little or exits any results. Lots of aerobic dance ex say that Pilates has done much to help change their appearance. “The Board of Directors of Pilates,” said Romana Kryzanowska, “features long, slender thighs and calves, a strong back, flat belly and a high tushie [rear].” And that’s not all. Many students of Pilates say feel rejuvenated and renewed after a session instead of drained and exhausted. “The Pilates method provides smooth, non-competitive long-term fitness,” says Michele Larsson, director of training at the Pilates Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Instruction Pilates studios are opening up all the United States and Europe. There are currently about 500 studies in the United States. Pilates instructors officer must complete a rigorous training program including over 600 hours of training before getting certification. Classes are offered in either group or private sessions.

Pilates is going to take the world by storm? Maybe, maybe not. However, given the recent praise and the high level of customer satisfaction, no doubt, hear and see much more of Pilates in the coming months.

Who can benefit from Pilates? People of all ages and physical conditions can benefit from the exercises prescribed. It is also a great system for injury prevention – especially for dancers and athletes who often suffer from injuries to his body, and depend for their livelihood. Physical therapists are also integrating some of the exercises in the treatment of patients.

Pilates for Core Strength

October 27, 2009 · Posted in Pilates Certification · Comment

Until the mid 90’s the core conditioning routine that I had consisted of the typical sit up benches and military training I previously did. In an effort to expand my “toolbox” of knowledge, a Master trainer had a class certification available that included Mat, Chairs and Barrels, Reformer and the Cadillac. I was in a class with mainly women and few other guys. I stood out as the “bodybuilder” –“military bearing” posture body type upon assessment protocol.

When demonstrations were needed, looking back, it became obvious that my strength with larger muscles than my class mates, made some movements easy…but most other movements that required finesse, very difficult. To further “close me on the deal “ of Pilate’s certification, the master trainer promptly signed up with me to do some regular one on one session’s in the gym. He easily blew through the workout…with unreal total body strength. My little ego was challenged, but I signed up for the class. Several thousands of dollars later I can honestly say that Pilates is and was a very welcome add to my fitness education journey.

Many who have not experienced Pilates firsthand compare it to Yoga, and while there are some similarities with the mind-body connection, Pilates is a much more active exercise. While Yoga revolves around poses and stretching, Pilates truly relies on using your body weight for strength and conditioning moves that focus on, you guessed it, your core. Each movement is slow and controlled and will focus on the particular muscles of every part of your body. Most movements are compound in nature so that rather than focus on simply your biceps for example, an arm movement may incorporate the biceps, triceps, and shoulders as well. Some of the leg lifts, while incredibly simple in appearance, provide an amazing workout for your upper thigh and hip area, helping to further strengthen this often neglected area of your core.

There are two main types of Pilates you can choose to participate in. One is mat Pilates, which by far the most popular in which you use your body weight to move through graceful yet challenging movements to develop overall body and core strength. The other is on the Reformer, a machine with springs and pulley’s on a rolling bed supported by a rail like frame, which you use a to take you through a series of movements for shoulder and pelvic stabilizers . Both forms are incredibly challenging and provide a workout unlike any other. While performing Pilates, your body and mind can go into a meditative relaxed state because of the fluid and grace of the motions, but make no mistake, you are doing some serious exercise, and if you forget while you are doing it, your body will remind you the next day.

Because every movement in Pilates is slow, controlled, and requires steady breathing throughout, your abdominals and lower back will receive a fantastic workout. Many who try Pilates become hooked and notice immediate changes in both their strength and flexibility as well as the definition in their midsection. Originally, Pilates became a popular warm-up and stretching and strengthening tool for ballet dancers, but now, millions of people from all walks of life have taken up the practice of Pilates including martial artists, boxers, and even some of the top names in the sports of football and basketball.

One of the most beautiful things about practicing Pilates is that the gentle nature of the exercise makes it perfect for people of any age to practice. It is incredibly safe and will provide results for those ages 8 to 80, and even beyond. If core strength and development is what you are after, sit in on a Pilate’s class and discover what millions of others have: Pilates is one of the most effective core strengthening exercise programs ever developed.
